Snowbird

Nestled in the picturesque Wasatch Mountains of Utah, Snowbird Ski Resort has a storied history as one of the premier winter destinations in the United States. Its journey began in the 1960s when visionary entrepreneur Ted Johnson and a team of developers scoured the mountains for the perfect location to create a world-class ski resort. They found it in Little Cottonwood Canyon, where Snowbird would soon rise.

In December 1971, Snowbird officially opened its slopes to the public. What set Snowbird apart was its innovative aerial tram, which whisked skiers and snowboarders to the top of Hidden Peak, providing access to some of the most challenging and breathtaking terrain in the country. This tram, still a focal point of the resort today, was a game-changer for the skiing industry.

Over the years, Snowbird has earned a reputation for its abundant snowfall, often exceeding 500 inches annually, and its expansive terrain catering to skiers and snowboarders of all levels. The resort's ample bowls, steep chutes, and gladed runs draw enthusiasts seeking adrenaline-pumping adventures.
